PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION

The primary function of this position is to drive truck to transport auto parts to and from specified destinations by performing the following duties. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

General Position Responsibilities

  • Drives truck to destination.
  • Loads and unloads truck.
  • Records delivery and pickup information.
  • Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition.
  • Maintains driver log according to I.C. regulations.

Maintain Delivery Truck

  • Keep trucks clean inside and out.

  • Properly document maintenance records and report any vehicle requirements to management.
  • Completes daily vehicle inspection reports.

Physical Requirements

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION

Order Pulling

Stocking

  • Unpack incoming merchandise shipments from suppliers or returned by customers.
  • Physically take the part and place on shelf or appropriate location in proper sequence in an accurate, orderly and neat fashion.
  • Place appropriate parts so they are ready for order pulling and in compliance with the prescribed stocking quota as set by management.

Packing/Checking

  • Review and check outbound customer orders for pulling accuracy.

  • Create an accurate and detailed summary of each shipment by way of freight bills.
  • Ensure the maintenance of adequate supplies and shipping labels for the work stations.
  • Properly label each shipping tote/package in accordance with DOT standards.

Shipping/Truck Loading

  • Handle and process customer orders including removing shipping totes/packages from conveyer system.
  • Ensure proper packaging of product.
  • Place large parts and shipping totes for each customer on their designated skid location.
  • Plan, organize and load customer orders in proper sequence on truck to ensure accurate delivery to customers and ease of handling for delivery truck drivers.

Receiving

  • Receive and unload from delivery trucks new products from manufacturers and returned or reclassified products from the customer.
  • Check Bills of Lading to ensure accurate and precise count of merchandise received.
  • Separate, distribute and move product to proper section (or defect area).
  • Operate a fork-lift safely.

PROJECT OVERVIEW: The mission of the Customer Program within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is to collect, maintain, and share information on foreign nationals, including biometric identifiers, through a dynamic, interoperable system that determines whether the individual: Should be prohibited from entering the U.S. Can receive, extend, change, or adjust immigration status Has overstayed or otherwise violated the terms of their admission Should be apprehended or detained for law enforcement action Needs special protection/attention (i.e., refugees).
